The III Uzbekistan Forum on “HSK: Education in China” Officially Opens

On May 18, 2026, the grand opening ceremony of the III Uzbekistan Forum titled “HSK: Education in China” was held at the campus of the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University). The forum was organized with the aim of strengthening educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, expanding international educational opportunities for young people, and fostering academic exchange. Representatives of 26 higher education institutions from the People’s Republic of China, alongside professors, students, and education sector specialists, are participating in the forum. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to receive detailed information about undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs offered by Chinese universities, as well as scholarship and grant opportunities, the HSK examination, and application procedures. The opening ceremony featured speeches by Aziz Abdukhakimov, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Environmental Issues and Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change; Sun Changdun, representative of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Uzbekistan; Liu Xiaolong, Deputy Director General of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education of China and Chinese Testing International; as well as Li Chunlin, representative of Lanzhou University. According to the event agenda, the forum began with the reception and registration of guests, followed by the official opening ceremony and keynote addresses. The main part of the forum includes open discussions with representatives of Chinese universities, question-and-answer sessions, presentations of educational programs, and discussions on prospective areas of cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and China. The forum is expected to further strengthen educational, scientific, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
