Rector's Message

Dear Students, Faculty, and Friends of Green University,

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to our university, a unique place dedicated to promoting ecological and social sustainability efforts.

In recent decades, the issue of climate change has become a global concern. Its impacts on Earth's ecosystem and ecology are far-reaching, leading to the extinction of numerous plant and animal species. It is a growing concern for Central Asian countries, and there is a need to address this pressing issue. A number of scientific events and conferences are being conducted worldwide to ensure a clean and green planet for future generations. Notably, the twenty-first session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 21) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) was recently held in Samarkand.

Central Asian Green University, promotes such efforts in the region and is a place of innovative solutions and collaborations around the world. The mission of the university is to nurture the next generation of sustainability leaders and changemakers who will shape a thriving and regenerative future.

Our university places sustainability at the core of its curriculum, operations, and culture. Students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also gain hands-on experience in implementing solutions. Our dedicated professors including nest foreign experts in the area are led by example, incorporating sustainability into their teaching, research, and campus activities.
