Strengthening International Partnerships for Sustainable Development and Environmental Education

On October 23-24, representatives from numerous organizations visited our University. Several issues were discussed during the meetings, and cooperation agreements were reached.

KOICA
Our university was visited by Professor Dr. Park Hyun from Seoul National University, Dr. Seok Hyun Deok, Director-General of the GSI Institute, and doctoral student Munira Xasanova from the Forestry Research Institute. The guests were given a comprehensive introduction to the University during the meeting. Proposals were made by the KOICA international organization regarding the organization of theoretical and practical training sessions for bachelor’s and master’s students. The focus areas included forestry, seed production, nursery management, afforestation, and the other regions where partnerships with Korean experts were discussed. The guests were also acquainted with the university campuses.

Bukhara Region Administration
In the meeting with the officials of the Bukhara Region Administration, several issues were discussed within the framework of the President’s order to establish technical schools of the university in all regions. It was noted that the establishment of university branches would significantly expand the opportunities for training knowledgeable and skilled professionals in the field of environmental studies and climate change in all regions. The technical schools will help young people acquire modern and in-depth knowledge of ecology, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.

Lanzhou University, China
Our university hosted representatives from Lanzhou University, China. During the meeting, cooperation opportunities between the two universities were discussed. Such visits are seen as crucial steps in exchanging scientific experience and conducting joint research on environmental and climate change issues.

World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)
The university welcomed representatives from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). During the meeting, the issues of sustainable development in the tourism sector were discussed, focusing on cooperation in addressing climate change and environmental protection. Such dialogues are expected to further strengthen the integration of tourism and ecology, contributing to the development of sustainable tourism in the region.
