Second Working Meeting with World Bank Representatives Held at Green University

On 20 May 2026, Green University hosted the second working meeting with representatives of the World Bank, together with “Smart Eco” consulting company, the Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Environmental Protection Specialists, and the State Environmental Expertise Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting focused on the implementation of a joint pilot educational programme in Environmental and Social (E&S) assessment and the development of academic curricula for Green University students.
The World Bank team presented the detailed plan for the upcoming Training-of-Trainers (ToT) pilot programme in Environmental and Social Assessment, scheduled for June 2026. The training will be delivered by two international consultants and will include approximately 12 academic hours across three sessions.
The training is planned for 9–11 June 2026 in an offline format with 20–25 participants. The target audience includes ESIA practitioners, environmental inspectors, trainers, faculty members, and national environmental experts.
A key outcome of the meeting was the agreement to develop E&S due diligence curricula for Green University students.
