Meeting with the Ministry of the Environment of Japan Held at Green University

On March 12, a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ) was held at Green University as part of the Environmental Policy Dialogue between Uzbekistan and Japan.

The Japanese delegation was headed by Kentaro Doi, Vice-Minister for Global Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ).

 During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on current environmental initiatives and explored opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in environmental protection, scientific research, and sustainable development.

 The main focus of the seminar was the development of green technical colleges, as well as strengthening environmental education. The participants also discussed the development of the Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT) -related cooperation, including the use of satellite and climate data for environmental analysis and monitoring.

 In addition, the meeting highlighted opportunities for expanding cooperation with JICA and Japanese universities, particularly in the areas of knowledge exchange, joint research, and scientific collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable development and addressing global climate challenges.
