ARTepa Gallery by Green University hosted the opening of “MARIONETTES,” a solo exhibition by Swiss contemporary artist Peter Aerschmann. The exhibition was presented within the framework of the “Art Station” project and brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, cultural institutions, artists, academics, and guests interested in contemporary art and intercultural dialogue.

The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Central Asian Arts and Culture Programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, with the support of Pro Helvetia and the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.

“MARIONETTES” explores themes of control, vulnerability, transformation, and the invisible systems shaping contemporary life. Through slow visual rhythms and carefully observed everyday gestures, the exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on the impact of technology, patterns of social behavior, and humanity’s relationship with the surrounding environment.

The official opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks by Aziz Abdukhakimov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Environmental Issues and Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change. Among the distinguished guests was Saeed Matar Sultan Alqemzi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to engage with contemporary video installation art and participate in a broader conversation about society, perception, and environmental consciousness.
