Green University Hosts First NDC 3.0 Coordination Meeting in Uzbekistan
29 January 2026 — Today, Green University hosted the First Meeting of the NDC Coordination Group and a Workshop on Developing Uzbekistan’s NDC 3.0 Implementation Roadmap, organized by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change with UNDP support under the “UNDP Climate Promise – Phase II” initiative.
The event gathered representatives from ministries, UN agencies, international development organizations, and civil society to discuss practical steps for implementing Uzbekistan’s upcoming NDC 3.0, including COP30 outcomes, roadmap development, and climate financing.
The opening session featured remarks from Mr. Jusipbek Kazbekov, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, Dr. Bakhtiyor Pulatov, Rector of Green University, Ms. Sabine Machl, UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, and Ms. Akiko Fujii, UNDP Resident Representative. They highlighted the key role of academic institutions in linking science, policy, and practical climate action.
Expert presentations and a roundtable session enabled participants to share strategies, proposals, and best practices, emphasizing a coordinated, multi-stakeholder approach.
By hosting this national-level meeting, Green University reinforced its role as a leading academic platform for dialogue, research, and implementation in environment, climate change, and sustainable development in Uzbekistan.
