Green University Hosted Spatial Data Workshop for the Atlas of Environmental Change
On November 26, 2025, representatives of Green University participated in a specialized workshop on spatial data processing, conducted as part of the development of the Atlas of Environmental Change. The event was organized by the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
The workshop provided practical training in key areas of environmental monitoring, including:
• Remote sensing data processing
• Elevation and relief analysis
• Assessment of settlement dynamics in disaster-risk areas
• Utilization of geoportals for environmental data management
Participants had the opportunity to explore modern tools and methodologies for spatial analysis and environmental monitoring. In addition, they engaged in discussions with international experts and national focal points regarding the next stages of the Atlas project and the integration of best practices in environmental data collection and analysis.
Green University’s involvement in the workshop reflects its commitment to advancing scientific research, fostering technical expertise in environmental studies, and contributing to regional and global initiatives in sustainable development and climate resilience.
