Green University and Marmara University Expand Academic Collaboration
Marmara University (Türkiye) and the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University) have further reinforced their academic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding following a productive bilateral meeting.
The MoU lays the foundation for long-term cooperation in key academic areas, including faculty and staff exchange, joint research initiatives, collaborative lectures, seminars, and symposia, as well as the development of sustainable academic programs.
During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities for joint academic engagement at COP 2026, including potential contributions to the Uzbekistan and Türkiye Pavilions and the co-organization of academic side events.
Another important topic was the proposal to organize a large-scale international student conference dedicated to the Aral Sea. Although still at an early stage, both institutions expressed strong interest and commitment to jointly advancing this initiative.
As part of the visit, representatives of Marmara University — Dr. Ibrahim Mazlum and Prof. Dr. Erhan Doğan — held constructive talks with Green University Rector Dr. Bakhtiyor Pulatov and members of the International Cooperation Department, focusing on strengthening institutional ties and outlining future collaboration pathways.
