Today, Green University hosted a seminar on the activities of leading research institutes. The event focused on the achievements of the Hydrometeorology, Forestry, Environmental Protection, and Conservation Technologies research institutes in 2024 and their strategic plans for the coming years. It brought together prominent ecology experts, scientific researchers, and representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Key discussions centred on the pressing challenges of climate change and its impact on the environment, including shifts in hydrological processes, forest resource management, soil degradation, and increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. Research institutes presented their latest monitoring findings and introduced proposals for implementing cutting-edge eco-technologies to address these challenges effectively.

As emphasized during the seminar, climate change is becoming more pronounced, with its adverse effects already evident across different regions of the world. Rising temperatures, erratic weather patterns, droughts, floods, powerful winds, extreme precipitation, and dust storms threaten ecosystems and human well-being. In response, participants underscored the urgent need for a comprehensive, science-based approach to mitigate these environmental risks and develop proactive solutions.

The seminar concluded with discussions on a series of innovative projects planned in collaboration with research institutes. These initiatives aim to enhance sustainable environmental management systems, promote the widespread adoption of green technologies, and improve environmental monitoring frameworks. By fostering scientific collaboration and technological advancement, these efforts will play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate change and achieving long-term sustainability goals.
