On April 5th 2025, within the framework of the International Climate Forum held at the "Silk Road Samarkand" complex in Samarkand, Green University organized a scientific panel discussion titled “Scientific Approaches and Innovative Solutions to Climate Change: Global Challenges and Local Strategies.”

It featured leading scientists from countries such as China, Saudi Arabia, Korea, the USA, and Malaysia and representatives from international organizations and research institutes. The discussions focused on modern technologies for combating climate change, educational efforts, scientific cooperation, and regional collaboration.

In his speech, Green University's rector, Dr. Jasur Salikhov, presented the Climate Residence initiative established at the university's base in Tashkent. He highlighted its significance as an essential platform for scientific collaboration and climate change analysis in the region.

After the panel discussion, an agreement of cooperation was signed between Green University and Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
