A Spiritual and Educational Event Dedicated to Great Thinkers Held at Green University
A spiritual and educational event titled “Two Great Figures — One Great Spiritual Legacy” was held at Green University at a high organizational level. The event was dedicated to the life and works of two outstanding figures who hold a unique place in Uzbek and world literature and intellectual history — Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
During the event, students gained comprehensive insight into the rich scientific and literary heritage of our great ancestors, as well as their ideas promoting humanism, patriotism, justice, and high moral values. Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Suvon Meliev, and Vice-Rector Shakhriyor Nurulloev delivered keynote speeches, emphasizing the enduring relevance of Navoi and Babur’s intellectual legacy in shaping the moral consciousness and national identity of today’s youth.
The event was conducted in an interactive format and enriched with students’ reflections, poetry excerpts, and examples from historical sources. Participants noted that deeply studying the heritage of our ancestors, preserving it, and passing it on to future generations is an important responsibility of every young person.
At the conclusion of the event, certificates were awarded to the most active participants. It was highlighted that such spiritual and educational meetings serve to broaden young people’s outlook, foster well-rounded individuals, and strengthen feelings of national pride and dignity.
Green University plans to continue organizing meaningful and educationally significant events for students in the future.
