Green University students actively participated in the traditional international birdwatching event held as part of World Migratory Bird Day — EuroBirdwatch 2026.

Organized with the participation of the Uzbekistan Society for the Protection of Birds, the event aimed to observe and study seasonal bird migration and raise public awareness of the importance of protecting migratory birds and their natural habitats.

During the event, students had the opportunity to observe migratory bird species, learn about their habitats and migration routes, and gain practical knowledge about the conservation of biodiversity.

This year marks the 34th edition of EuroBirdwatch. Throughout the history of the initiative, more than 1.3 million people have participated, observing over 107 million migratory birds.

The active participation of young people in such environmental initiatives plays an important role in strengthening environmental awareness and fostering a responsible attitude towards nature and biodiversity.
