Today, on June 24, the first founding meeting of the initiative group on the establishment of the “Uzbekistan–Netherlands” Friendship Society was held at the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University).

The meeting addressed issues related to the establishment of the Society, approval of its Charter, and discussion of its future areas of activity.

During the event, particular attention was paid to developing friendly relations between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands, strengthening people-to-people diplomacy, and expanding scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation. During the event, Green University Rector B.A. Pulatov was elected Chairman of the “Uzbekistan–Netherlands” Friendship Society. In addition, Green University Senior Legal Counsel A. Yusufjonov was appointed Executive Director of the Society.

Following the meeting, a decision was adopted to establish the “Uzbekistan–Netherlands” Friendship Society. The Chairman of the Society, members of the Board, and the Audit and Control Commission were also elected.

This initiative will contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries, expansion of mutual exchange of experience, and strengthening of sustainable ties.
