Purpose: To recognize an individual or team that has made an exceptional contribution to the practical conservation and protection of the saiga.

Support: A personal award of £1,000, with no restrictions on how the funds may be used.

New Deadline: The nomination deadline has been extended to 30 September 2026, instead of the previously announced deadline of 27 September 2026.

Eligibility: Employees and teams from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia are eligible. Candidates must be nominated by another person; self-nominations are not permitted.

Scientific Component: This is not a research grant. However, scientists and field teams with demonstrated and measurable conservation outcomes may be nominated.

Priority: High priority should be given if there is a suitable candidate among Green University staff, students, or partner organizations.

Recommended Action: Immediately identify potential candidates among personnel working in protected areas, environmental inspectors, researchers, and community-based conservation teams in the Ustyurt region. Prepare a concise, evidence-based description of their achievements and submit the nomination before the deadline.
