CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: 2027 STUDENT CONFERENCE ON CONSERVATION SCIENCE.

The 26th Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS 2027) will take place from 30 March to 1 April 2027 at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

✍️About the Conference

This international conference provides an important platform for postgraduate students and early-career researchers working in conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable natural resource management to exchange knowledge, present their research, and engage with leading experts in the field.

The conference welcomes research focused on conservation across a broad range of disciplines, including ecology, genetics, geography, economics, social sciences, and psychology.

📌Conference Programme

The three-day programme will feature:

- Plenary talks delivered by leading academics and conservation practitioners;

- Research presentations and poster sessions by conference delegates;

- Workshops designed to develop scientific and professional skills;

- Networking opportunities and social events to facilitate knowledge exchange and international collaboration.

🗓Application Deadlines

Round 1: Closed on 4 September 2026.

Round 2: Applications will be accepted from 14 December 2026 to 15 January 2027. This round is open exclusively to applicants seeking to attend the conference without presenting their research. Due to the limited number of places, applications for oral presentations, posters, and bursaries will not be accepted during this round.

🖥Online Participation

All conference talks will be available via free live streaming on Zoom. Online participants will also have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers. Online registration is scheduled to open in March 2027. Please note that online participation does not include research presentations, workshops, evening events, or certificates of attendance.

💰Registration Fee and Financial Support

The in-person conference registration fee is £125. A limited number of bursaries were available during Round 1 to support eligible participants with visa, travel, accommodation, meal, and conference registration expenses. The global bursary scheme is intended for applicants from countries that are not classified as high-income countries, regardless of their current country of residence. These bursaries are highly competitive and are awarded to applicants presenting high-quality research.

The conference offers an excellent opportunity for emerging conservation scientists to showcase their research internationally, receive feedback from leading professionals, strengthen their scientific networks, and explore innovative approaches to conservation.
