Green University welcomed an official delegation from the Korea Environment Institute (KEI) during their recent visit.

As part of the visit, a seminar was held with the aim of exchanging international experience in the field of environmental assessment. Participants discussed pressing issues related to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), as well as the protection of the aquatic environment.

In addition, during the negotiations, the parties addressed prospects for improving the EIA and SEA systems in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the digitalization of these processes, the development of environmental monitoring, and the expansion of public participation in making environmentally significant decisions.

Special attention was given to the exchange of international expertise and the implementation of joint research and educational projects in the fields of ecology and sustainable development.

The event was attended by Dr. Sangyun Lee, Senior Researcher in the Environmental Impact Assessment Department of KEI; staff of the Green University as well as heads and specialists working in related fields.
