Green University and ICBA Discuss Next Phase of Strategic Partnership
Today, Green University hosted a delegation from the International Center for Bio saline Agriculture (ICBA) to explore the next phase of their growing collaboration. The meeting focused on expanding joint efforts in scientific research, student development, and sustainable agriculture practices in Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region.
Key areas of collaboration discussed included:
Launching joint scientific and research projects;
Providing internship and fellowship opportunities for Green University students;
Supporting women in agricultural research and leadership;
Organizing workshops, conferences, and webinars for knowledge exchange;
Sharing scientific materials and publications to strengthen cooperation.
During the meeting, Dr. Charbel Tarraf, Chief of Operations and Development at ICBA, emphasized the importance of engaging youth in science and innovation, stating:
“We prioritize youth participation in our capacity development programs. This partnership will allow students from Green University to benefit from tailored training and hands-on research opportunities at ICBA.”
Dr. Shahriyor Nurulloyev, Acting Rector of Green University, added:
“Our collaboration with ICBA is a step forward in building a more resilient and sustainable future for food systems and communities in Uzbekistan. Together, we aim to promote innovation, empower youth, and develop practical solutions for climate-resilient agriculture.”
